Rain & Wind

  • Breathable, wicking shirt
  • Thermal secondary layer shirt and pants (for temps <40 degrees)
  • comfortable, flexible pants
  • supportive shoes with moderate to heavy tread
  • Wicking socks (bring an extra pair)
  • Waterproof wind jacket with a hood
  • Waterproof wind pants
  • Bug repellent
  • Rain hat
  • Plenty of water
  • Change of clothes in case you get wet

Snow & Ice

  • Breathable, wicking base layer shirt and pants
  • Thermal secondary layer shirt and pants
  • A third thermal layer shirt (sweatshirt or similar)
  • Waterproof, windproof jacket
  • Waterproof, windproof pants or snow pants
  • Insulated hat
  • Face mask/ neck & chest protector/ scarf
  • Insulated gloves
  • Wool socks (bring an extra pair)
  • Heavy tread winter boots
  • Clip-on metal tread for boots
  • Plenty of water
  • Change of clothes in case you get wet
